situated in the Thornybush Game Reserve.
We will arrive at the camp for lunch and then take an
afternoon/evening game drive.
Expect to see: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe,
Cheetah and other wildlife and birds.
DAY 2 - 3 Wed - Thu:
Safari - Kruger Park
Pre-dawn wake up for tea and coffee, before departing on
the morning game drive. An experienced ranger and tracker, with
extensive knowledge of the area, will read the previous night's
tracks and lead you to where the excitement is, for instance
tracking the big five. Game drives are on an open Land Rover, which
will ensure the best possible game viewing experience.
A full brunch is served on return, followed by a midday siesta, a
refreshing swim or waiting for the game to quench their thirst at
the waterhole.
High tea is served in the afternoon followed by another exciting
game drive. A sundowner drink compliments the African sunset leading
to the night drive. Night time brings out the predators and many
other nocturnal animals. Spotting nightlife or hearing a lion roar
in the distance is an exhilarating experience.
Return to camp to freshen up and enjoy a drink with you ranger and
hostess to discuss the day's sightings. A three course dinner
concludes the day.
Weather permitting, one can enjoy a typical South African braai on
our deck over-looking the Monwana riverbed. This is the ideal South
African way of relaxing around a cosy fire with the sounds of the
African nightlife in the distance.
