DETAILED ITINERARY: DAY 1 - DAY 4 SAFARI - KRUGER On arrival in Johannesburg you will be met by a “Kosher Wildlife Experience” representative who will guide you to the domestic terminal where you will take your flight to Hoedspruit where I will meet you and then drive you to Monwana Lodge in the Thornybush Game Reserve adjacent to Kruger Park. After lunch you will go on your first Game Drive. You will be introduced to wildlife and nature, as you have never experienced before. We enter the African bush in open land rovers in search of the "Big Five": Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo, together with an abundance of other game. Our experienced game rangers, trained in understanding Africa's mysteries, will show you the secrets of the bush by day and by night. The lodges we use are some of the most luxurious; the cuisine is first class and Glatt Kosher. The rooms are lavishly done without detracting from their African touch. It can only be described as a private retreat of the utmost peace and tranquillity, set in a wonderland of adventure - the heart of the African bush We return to the lodge for a dinner under the stars. Daily Schedule at Monwana: Pre-dawn wake up for tea and coffee before departing on the morning game drive. An experienced ranger and tracker, with extensive knowledge of the area, will read the previous night's tracks and lead you to where the excitement is, for instance tracking the big five. Game drives are on an open Land Rover, which will ensure the best possible game viewing experience. A full brunch is served on return, followed by a midday siesta, a refreshing swim or waiting for the game to quench their thirst at the waterhole. High tea is served in the afternoon followed by another exciting game drive. A sundowner drink compliments the African sunset leading to the night drive. Night time brings out the predators and many other nocturnal animals. Spotting nightlife or hearing a lion roar in the distance is an exhilarating experience. Return to camp to freshen up and enjoy a drink with you ranger and hostess to discuss the day's sightings. A three course dinner concludes the day. Weather permitting; one can enjoy a typical South African braai on our deck over-looking the Monwana riverbed. On arrival in Cape Town we make our way to the stunning Clarendon Guest House. After we settle down, we go to Avron’s Kosher Restaurant for dinner DAY 6 Tuesday - CAPE TOWN - GRAND CAPE PENINSULA TOUR An unforgettable journey to the mythical meeting place of the two great oceans. Breathtaking scenic beauty contrasts with the harsh rugged conditions of the most south-westerly edge of the African continent. DAY 7 Wednesday - CAPE TOWN – TABLE MOUNTAIN AND CITY TOUR DAY 8 Thursday - OUDSHOORN Depart Cape Town and travel along the R62 to Oudtshoorn. We will stop for views and visits to farm stalls. It is the world’s longest wine route. Cango Ostrich Farm DAY 9 Friday GARDEN ROUTE – SLEEP PLETTENBURG BAY Visit the Cango Caves, Travel over the Outiniqua Pass to Knysna, Visit the World Of Birds and Monkey Land, Explore the forests of the area. Travel to Plettenberg Bay for Shabbat. DAY 10 Saturday - SHABBAT PLETTENBURG BAY Peaceful Shabbat, there is a Shul and minyan there. Beautiful walks alnong the beach. DAY 11 Sunday - GARDEN ROUTE SLEEP PORT ELIZABETH Visit the Bloukrans Bridge and the Tsitsikamma National Park. Sleep in Port Elizabeth. DAY 12 Monday - VICTORIA FALLS Victoria Falls one of the world’s seven natural wonders. It is the largest sheet of falling water on earth, twice as wide as those of Niagara. The mist it produces is visible for miles and has created a most beautiful rain forest that walk through. DAY 13 Tuesday – CHOBE SLEEP VICTORIA FALLS A river boat cruise on the Chobe River will give you a totally different game viewing experience to the ones you have had until now. Here you will witness some of Africa's largest elephant and herds coming to water with their young to drink and cross the river in front of you. You will also see hundreds of buffalos, crocodiles and hippo as well as other game and bird life. DAY 14 Wednesday - VICTORIA FALLS Activities Day Activities at the Falls include: * Guided visit of the majestic Falls * Helicopter flip over falls * Scenic flights over falls * White water rafting * Wild water jetboating in the gorge * Sundowner cruise on Zambezi river watching the African sunset * Elephant-back safaris * Canoe safaris *Walk with the Lions DAY 15 Thursday – Return Home
